About Prestonfield
Originally set-up to provide the Civil Servants of the capital city with a golf club in 1920 and situated only 1.5 miles from Princes Street, Prestonfield Golf Club is the closest golf course to the city centre. Set in parkland beneath the volcanic mass of Arthurs Seat, the golf course appears more like a country estate, than a metropolis course. The true character of the course is portrayed by the testing nature of the tough Par 4s and two lengthy Par 5s, but this is compensated by shorter Par 3s and the easy walk nature of the 18 holes. Having completed a round why not enjoy the superb views from the first floor lounge bar.
